What we collect
Sidetrack stores account details, saved places, and email signup addresses when you choose to provide them. We also store your theme preference in your browser's local storage.
Local storage
Your light/dark theme preference is stored in your browser's localStorage. You can clear this at any time by clearing your browser data. Without JavaScript, theme persistence is unavailable.
Email signups
If you join the destination update list, we store your email address and the page where you signed up. We use this only to measure interest and send Sidetrack destination updates.
Analytics
We use Vercel Analytics to understand how people use Sidetrack. This service collects anonymised page view data and custom events (such as which places are saved or viewed). Vercel Analytics does not use cookies and does not collect personally identifiable information. You can review Vercel's privacy practices at vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy.
Third-party content
Sidetrack displays images from Unsplash and map tiles from OpenStreetMap contributors via MapLibre. These services may set their own cookies or collect usage data per their own privacy policies.
Contact data
If you send us a message via the contact form, we store your name, email, and message content solely to respond to your enquiry. This information is not shared with third parties.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct, or delete any personal data we hold. To exercise these rights, contact us at rm.sidetrack@gmail.com. We will respond within 30 days.
